Several components make up the total cost of a visa renewal. For employment visas, these costs include:
Government Fees: AED 1,263.53
Labour Fee: AED 300 – AED 5,000 (Depending on the Company Category)
PRO Fee for Visa: AED 1,575
Government Fees for Medical & Emirates ID: AED 1,130

If you fall into the category of limited skills, there is an additional insurance fee between AED 420 and AED 5,120.
For a partner or investor visa, costs include:
Medical Typing Fees: AED 857.50
EID Typing Fees: AED 371.50
Residence Visa Typing Fees: AED 925.65
PRO Fee: AED 2625
My visa expired during the lockdown; do I have to pay any fines?
No. If your tourist or residence visa expired during lockdown, it is automatically extended until the end of the year. You do not need to take any further action.

No, the standard visa renewal costs and procedures continue to apply.
How many days will it take to renew my Dubai visa?
Providing your application is complete and correct at the time of submission, visa renewals usually take five business days.
What documents do I need to renew my Dubai visa?
The following documentation is required when renewing a residence employment visa and a partner or investor visa:
- Dubai Department of Economic Development (DED) Visa Renewal Form
- Original Passport (six-months validity and must have at least two blank pages available)
- Eight Passport size photos
- Original Emirates ID
- Certificate of Health Insurance from a Health Insurance Agency or Health Insurance Card front and back copy
The following applies to employment visas only:
- WPS Form: Payment of Workers’ Wages (WPS) Declaration
- Attested degree certificate (if applying for skilled positions level 1-3)

If you wish to cancel your visa, you will need to submit your original passport, original Emirates ID, and a signed DED Visa Cancellation Request Form to a registered agent such as BIZ.
Cancellation costs AED 1,050 and usually takes five working days.
How to cancel a dependant visa in Dubai / How to cancel a Dubai family visa
When cancelling a dependant or family visa, you will need to supply to the original passport of both the dependant and the sponsor.
Dependant visa cancellation costs AED 950 and usually takes two to three business days.

All dependant visas – whether those of maids, nannies or any other domestic staff – can be cancelled via the process above.
How to cancel my wife’s visa in Dubai
To cancel any family member’s visa, you would need to provide your agent with your original passport, and your family member’s original passport.
How to cancel Dubai residence visa from India / How to cancel Dubai visa from Pakistan
When cancelling a visa from anywhere outside the UAE, the process is the same as above. However, the cost of cancellation increases to AED 2,100.
How to cancel a Dubai visa application
If you wish to cancel your visa application, you should contact your agent as soon as possible. In most cases, you will have to pay a cancellation fee.
How to cancel a Dubai visa online
It is not possible to cancel a visa online. In all circumstances, you must either contact the Amer Center or your service agent.

Where possible, you should provide your passport when cancelling your visa. However, it is possible to process a cancellation without a passport if you are inside the UAE or have been outside the UAE for more than six months.
